Accident Reconstruction

Computer Animation/Simulation

Using a three-dimensional computer simulation application and detailed information about the vehicles, roadway properties, and incident conditions, our engineers can produce a visual representation of the circumstances surrounding a motor vehicle collision. This visual representation - also referred to as a computer animation - can be used to demonstrate the position and motion of all vehicles, pedestrians and any other objects involved in the collision, and can often clarify the sequence of events.

The computer simulation is founded on the same technical principles that accident reconstructionists use in their analysis of motor vehicle collisions. The computer animation uses the results of the simulation to create a powerful illustrative tool. If you are interested in learning more about our expertise in these areas, or in the ways in which a simulation or animation can be useful in resolving a motor vehicle claim, please contact one of our accident reconstruction engineers.
